Friday evening I went to see the movie Hastey Hastey Follow Your Heart at Movie City Edison,NJ,first day first show( a habit I have n't kicked since my Hindu College Amritsar days).Acting by Jimmy Shergil was very good.Rajpal Yadav was extremely funny as usual and had the audience tickled thru and thru.The new girls Nisha Rawal as Maya Fernadez and Monishka as Tanvi both have very refreshing faces and great acting,specially Nisha . Anu Malik's music is superb and the movie has catchy songs you are sure to humm later.
After the show ended,I was overwhelmed by the huge crowd in the lobby.Could not resist but ask one of the theater staff what movie the crowd was for. "Hastey " came the quick response(he pronounced the word as in 'haste') " The 7.45 pm show is drawing house full to the 300 seat capacity and we are getting heavy online booking for our 10.30 pm show too." "infact we have added another showing at 9.00pm in another hall because of the crowd overflow",he obliged with additional info.
Wow I said to myself as I was weaving my way thru. These things still happen these days and that too in the USA. Was it the movie or was it for being in Edison NJ ? Both,I guess.Enjoy the movie wherever you can watch it.
